Queens of Love

Public intervention about gender equality in predominantly immigrant area in New York. In commemoration of International Women’s Day, i invited passerby to create a collective clothes line on the street. This involved writing messages about love on bras and men’s underwear and hanging. During the action I got rid of the many layers of clothing I was wearing until I was left with a swimsuit, thus pointing out to the vulnerability of women bodies under the male gaze.
